Game data platform GRID Esports and Indian esports fantasy platform Spectatr by Fanclash have joined forces to deliver data-driven solutions to Spectatr’s Indian and international consumers.

As a result of the partnership, GRID will deliver official esports data to help elevate Spectatr’s fantasy offering and boost its global expansion.

According to a release, the partnership between GRID and Fanclash aims to revolutionise B2B fantasy betting offerings worldwide by providing granular game data across esports titles such as CS:GO, DOTA 2, PUBG and VALORANT.

Spectatr by Fanclash is an Indian-based tech provider specialising in fan engagement solutions. Its creator, Fanclash, is one of Asia’s largest esports fantasy platforms and recently raised $40m (~£31.6m) in funding in June 2022. It is backed by investment companies such as Alpha Wave Global and Sequoia Capital India, as well as crypto company Polygon.

Equipped with GRID game data and several upcoming products, including AI-generated highlights, Spectatr is looking to expand its influence internationally by building a global fantasy esports network.

GRID Esports is a data platform with over five years of experience in sourcing, managing, and distributing live game data to game publishers, esports organisers and data consumers. The organisation has been an innovative force in the esports industry having secured data-focused partnerships with the likes of Riot Games, KRAFTON and PGL, among others.

Most recently, GRID launched the DataJam in July together with Opera GX and Esports Insider. The DataJam is an online competition inviting developers and esports fans to build projects utilising GRID’s platform.

Mikael Westerling, Chief Sales Officer at GRID, commented on the partnership with Spectatr: “Esports fantasy is one of the fastest-growing forms of esports betting in the world. Fanclash has developed an impressive live-esports fantasy offering over the last two years for which official esports data is critical to ensure the best fan experience.

“We are thrilled to partner with Spectatr and power a global expansion of their state-of-the-art solution with our official live data.”

Spectatr by Fanclash is not the only partnership GRID has secured this year. The game data platform has joined forces with several esports stakeholders, such as Pinnacle, esports odds provider Odin.gg and gaming technology company Inspired Entertainment.

According to the data platform, GRID provides data-driven solutions to over 350 clients for a variety of use cases, including betting, media, player coaching, and talent scouting.
