Fyxs Shares His Experience of Meeting Mortal

Naman “Mortal” Mathur has been one of the household names in the mobile gaming community since the PUBG Mobile days. With his team, Team Soul, Mortal had tasted success in various tournaments. Some of the achievements include winning the PUBG Mobile India Series 2019 and the PUBG Mobile Club Open – Spring Split: India. The team was one of the few to represent India in PUBG Mobile on the global stage.

Amrit “Fyxs” Gourav is an Indian Esports caster analyst and streamer. He started his casting journey in 2019 with PUBG mobile. Fyxs has casted multiple Indian as well as global tournaments for PC and Mobile gaming titles.

In a recent live stream while reacting to old memories, Fyxs shared his experience of meeting Mortal. He talked about why Mortal is so successful and his nature IRL (in real life). He also recollected some of the memories from Dreamhack where he met Mortal and was amazed by his nature and personality.

Fyxs holds Mortal in high regard and was taken aback by the man himself. He said, “When I (Fyxs) met him (Mortal), he was trying to recreate a moment from the past”. Fyxs also revealed that while talking to Mortal, “I felt that he has a very good personality, which is one of the reasons for his success”.

Recollecting a memory from DreamHack, Fyxs said, I was sitting alone and suddenly Mortal came and sat beside me and both of us had a brief chat. After which I realised “Even after having so much success his personality and nature IRL is amazing”.

This isn’t the first time Mortal has been praised for his nature and down to earth personality. Recently S8UL’s co-owner Animesh “Thug” Agarwal labeled Mortal as one of the “Legends” of the Indian Gaming Community. 

Mortal has also been nominated for the “Streamer of The Year” award multiple times in the past. He was also the Runner-Up for “Esports Personality of the Year” award.

Mortal is the kind of personality every gamer or streamer / creator should idolise. Being down to earth and humble, even after achieving success at the highest level speaks volumes about his personality.
