BMW Group Middle East, the Middle East branch of German automotive marque BMW, has announced a partnership with MENA-based esports organisation Nigma Galaxy.

As a part of the agreement, BMW Group Middle East will provide the organisation with resources and expertise to develop local esports talent and promote esports on a global scale.

According to a release, the partnership between BMW and Nigma Galaxy is built around ‘passion, innovation, people, and sportsmanship’. Moreover, the marque aims to expand its presence within the esports industry through the deal.

To announce the partnership, BMW and Nigma Galaxy created a video involving some of the organisation’s players.

BMW is no stranger to collaborating with esports organisations. In November 2022, the marque joined forces with Fnatic to launch a range of gaming mice tailored to the organisation’s League of Legends team.

For Nigma Galaxy, BMW becomes the third partner of the organisation. It joins the likes of real estate developer Aldar and Etihad Airways on its roster. Since launching in 2021, Nigma Galaxy fields rosters across seven titles including CS:GO, League of Legends and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Christoph Timm, Co-founder of Nigma Galaxy, spoke on the deal: “This collaboration with BMW Group Middle East resonates deeply with our vision and values. BMW’s passion for excellence and constant innovation aligns seamlessly with our commitment to pushing the boundaries of esports.

“Together, we aim to inspire and empower a new generation of gamers, supporting their dreams and aspirations in this exciting world of competitive gaming while creating unforgettable experiences that bridge the gap between the virtual and physical worlds.”
